Chloé Delarue (born in 1986 at Le Chesnay ; lives and works in Geneva, Switzerland)

Chloé Delarue observes the interactions between the technique and the living acting on our systems of representations and identifications. Thinking in particular on the notions of reproducibility and simulation and their effects on our perception of reality, she explores the transformation of the tangible, of bodies, of affects that have become sensors.

Her installations and sculptures where the effects of lure, pretense, mimetics unfold, define a dense aesthetic environment with in particular a vast series of works appearing under the acronym TAFAA for Toward A Fully Automated Appearance, a cycle in movement giving substance to the sensitive ambiguities of this world affected by its own replication.

Chloé Delarue observe les interactions entre la technique et le vivant agissant sur nos systèmes de représentations et d’identifications. Réfléchissant notamment aux notions de reproductibilité et simulation et leurs effets sur notre perception du réel, elle explore la transformation du tangible, des corps, des affects devenues capteurs.

Ses installations et sculptures où les effets de leurre, de faux-semblant, de mimétique se déploient, cernent un environnement esthétique dense avec notamment une vaste série d’oeuvres apparaissant sous l’acronyme TAFAA pour Toward A Fully Automated Appearance, un cycle en mouvement donnant corps aux ambiguïtés sensibles de ce monde affecté par sa propre réplication.
